Open Call for Lightning Table Hosts
Lightning Table is a fast‑paced, topic discussion forums designed for active participation. Within a short timeframe, these focused, dynamic conversations foster new connections between people and between ideas within a short timeframe.
Becoming a Lightning Table host is your chance to steer the conversation at HKPAX. All interested Pass Holders may propose and lead a topic of conversation about the performing arts ecosystem, to be held at the event on 10 October.
We’re looking for bold, diverse perspectives that spark spirited exchange. Ideas may touch on but aren’t limited to:
cross-disciplinary practices; funding and resource strategies; accessibility and inclusion; sustainability; art and technology; arts criticism; education, and community impact; residency and research models; and placemaking and site-specific work.

Here are the key details you’ll need to know
- Deadline for Application: 13 August 2026 (Thu), 17:00 HKT
- Session Date & Time: 10 Ocotber 2026 (Sat), 14:00 - 17:30
- Duration: 30 minutes per session
- Venue: Incubator 2 - 3, East Kowloon Cultural Centre
- Setting: Informal round-table discussion with approximately 10 participants in each table. No audio/video equipment will be provided.
- Format: The structure of the interactive 30-minute conversation session is designed by the host to best suit the topic and preferred discussion style
- Eligible Applicants: Holders of Standard Pass and Day 2 Pass
- Language: Sessions will be conducted in English; no translation will be provided
- Selection Process: HKPAX will select a limited number of table topics from the open call submissions for participants to register and join the discussion.
- Remarks: This form cannot be saved for later completion. Please ensure you have all the required information ready before you begin, and submit your application once completed.
